Hybrid ICs for Driving Brush-Type DC Motors Slide 3

This slide shows the MOSFET full-bridge driver circuit, first in the standby or stop mode on the left, and then in the forward mode as shown on the right. In the standby mode all MOSFETs, F1 through F4, are off, and there is no current flow. To drive a motor in the FORWARD direction, F1 and F4 are turned on. This causes the current to flow from left to right in the motor.
