Quartz Crystal Resonators Slide 11

The frequency deviation of a quartz crystal operating at an ambient room temperature (25°C) or the deviation over temperature is defined as frequency tolerance and stability, respectively. The frequency stability and frequency tolerance of the crystal are expressed in percentage (%) or parts per million (ppm). There are several factors that effect the crystals frequency stability such as the type of cut and angle, mode of operation, mechanical dimension of crystal blank, and package style.
