TPS3842 Nanopower Undervoltage Supervisor

The Texas Instruments TPS3842 is a 42 V voltage supervisor with 850 nA I_DD, 0.5% accuracy, and fast detection time. This device can be connected directly to a 12 V/24 V voltage rail for continuous monitoring of undervoltage (UV) conditions. The TPS3842 comes in a small DRL package for size-constrained applications. Built-in hysteresis on the SENSE pin prevents false reset signals when monitoring a supply voltage rail, and 1%, 5%, and 10% hysteresis voltage options are available to offer design flexibility to support voltage transients. The SENSE pin is decoupled from V_DD and can monitor higher and lower voltages than V_DD. Fixed threshold variants provide accurate low-I_Q voltage monitoring, and adjustable threshold variants offer flexible undervoltage threshold setting with external resistors. The TPS3842 offers capacitor-programmable deglitch on the SENSE pin with the CTS pin as well as capacitor-programmable reset delay timing with the CTR pin.
