VIPer1X and VIPer2x Converters

VIPerPlus smart off-line converters from STMicroelectronics feature a rugged 800 V power section, PWM control, and protection circuitry. Soft-start and safe auto restart after fault detection removal are inherent. The VIPER16/17/27/28 offer fixed frequency operation at 60 kHz or 115 kHz, while the VIPER15/25 have Quasi-resonant control. Extremely low standby power consumption allows the VIPerPlus family to meet regulatory energy savings standards. With maximum R_DS(ON) of 24 Ω, the VIPer family is capable of delivering 5 W of output power in adapter application and 7 W in open frame configuration from universal 85 V_AC to 265 V_AC line.
