In order to meet the demand for size reduction in electronic equipment, Murata has released the ultra small 01005 (GRM02) MLCC with well-established technologies to precisely control the material and process that determine the properties of electronic components. Comparing with 0201 size product, 01005-size product has an area reduction of 45% and a volume reduction of 30%.
Plated with Ni barrier and Matte Sn, the 01005 series is RoHS compliant. Stringent dimensional tolerances allow highly reliable, high-speed automatic chip placement on PCBs. The 01005 series is ideal for PA modules, handheld equipment and high-frequency modules.
Murata offers 01005 C0G series in 7.5 pF to 47 pF at a rated voltage of 16 V. The X5R series is available from 680 pF to 0.01 µF at a rated voltage of 6.3 V. The 01005 series is supplied on plastic tape with 15,000 pieces per reel.
LLL, LLA and LLM Low ESL Capacitors
Murata offers a standard profile and low profile low inductance series of capacitors. Murata's Low ESL product line up includes the standard 2 terminal, reversed geometry type (LLL Series), 8-terminal type (LLA Series) and 10-terminal type (LLM Series). These three series are plated with Ni and Matte Sn, and are RoHS compliant. Murata's Low ESL series provide high capacitance in small case sizes. The Low ESL series is especially ideal for high-speed microprocessors and high frequency digital equipment.
LLL Standard 2 Terminal (Reversed Geometry Low ESL Type)
- Low ESL: 150 pH to 250 pH - Suitable for noise reduction at high frequencies (>200 MHz)
- X7R: Operating temperature: -55°C to +125°C with a ±15% capacitance change over temperature range.
- X7S: Operating temperature: -55°C to +125°C with a ±22% capacitance change over temperature range.
LLA (Eight Terminal Low ESL Type)
- Lower ESL: 80 pH to 120 pH. - Suitable for high speed (800 MHz to 4 GHz) IC decoupling
- X7R: Operating temperature: -55°C to +125°C with a ±15% capacitance change over temperature range.
- X7S: Operating temperature: -55°C to +125°C with a ±22% capacitance change over temperature range.
LLM (Ten Terminal Low ESL Type)
- Lowest ESL: 35 pH to 45 pH. - Suitable for high speed (1 GHz to 4 GHz) IC decoupling
- X7R: Operating temperature: -55°C to +125°C with a ±15% capacitance change over temperature range.
- X7S: Operating temperature: -55°C to +125°C with a ±22% capacitance change over temperature range.
