LAN8872-I/PUA Ethernet Transceivers

The Microchip LAN887x family, including the LAN8870, LAN8871, and LAN8872, offers a compact and cost-effective Ethernet transceiver solution for 100BASE-T1/1000BASE-T1 networks, compliant with IEEE 802.3bw-2015 and IEEE 802.3bp-2016 standards. These devices support communication with Ethernet MACs via standard SGMII interfaces and can transmit and receive data over cables up to 15 meters long.

Available in both industrial and automotive grades, the LAN887x family is ideal for applications in industrial automation, IIoT, ADAS, infotainment, telematics, and in-vehicle networks. They are Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) ready, supporting precise clock synchronization protocols for real-time Ethernet networking.

The LAN887x devices feature Microchip’s EtherGREEN™ technology for energy-efficient operation and support low-power remote sleep and wake-up functions. FlexPWR® technology allows for flexible power supply options, and advanced PHY diagnostics provide robust troubleshooting capabilities.
