B72500E Series Varistors

TDK Corporation has extended its product range of EPCOS multilayer varistors with the E series, designed to assure protection from current surge pulses in automotive electronics. Thanks to their innovative glass passivation, the SMD protection components are qualified to AEC-Q200 with an extended stress test, even more rugged and reliable than before. The range of their operating voltages extends from 14 V_DC to 40 V_DC. In addition to greatly reduced leakage currents, the components are characterized particularly by increased temperature stability, up to +150°C. The electrical characteristics of these components remain stable even after exposure to repeated pulses. After the series run-up of the small EIA 0603 and 0805 case sizes at the beginning of 2012, the portfolio has now been extended to include large case sizes up to EIA 2220.
