BOS1211 Starter Development Kit

Boreas development kits' modular architecture supports up to four stackable driver boards for controlling multiple actuators

The BOS1211-KIT is a development platform built around Boréas automotive-qualified piezoelectric driver ICs. The kit enables engineers to develop haptic feedback applications by leveraging the BOS1211's capabilities to generate precise high-voltage waveforms up to 120 V while maintaining low power consumption suitable for automotive requirements.

The kits design focuses on flexibility and accessibility. Its modular architecture supports up to four stackable driver boards for controlling multiple actuators which is a key feature for automotive interfaces where several touch points need coordinated haptic feedback. The development process is streamlined through both a USB interface with PC software for direct programming and waveform generation and USB audio device functionality that enables prototyping through standard audio software tools like MATLAB®, Python®, and Audacity®.

Built to work with TDK PowerHap 120 V actuators, the BOS1211-KIT combines haptic feedback with sensing capabilities, allowing developers to create responsive touch interfaces. The kit includes GPIO access and autonomous operation support, providing the necessary tools for prototype development and system integration.
