MAX22507E/MAX22508E Transceivers
ADI's MAX22507E and MAX22508E 50 Mbps full-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceivers have high EFT immunity
ADI's MAX22507E and MAX22508E ESD-protected RS-485/RS-422 full-duplex transceivers are optimized for high-speed communication up to 50 Mbps. These transceivers feature integrated hot-swap protection and a fail-safe receiver, ensuring a logic high on the receiver output when input signals are shorted or open for longer than 10 µs (typ). Additionally, a large receiver hysteresis improves noise rejection and signal integrity.
The MAX22507E and MAX22508E are designed to operate in harsh industrial environments and are optimized for robust communication in environments with high levels of electromagnetic interference (EMI).
The MAX22507E is available in a 10-pin µMAX package, and the MAX22508E is available in an 8-pin SOIC package. µMAX is the Maxim-trademarked equivalent to the industry-standard MSOP package. Both transceivers operate over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.
The MAX22507EEVKIT# evaluation kit (EV kit) is a fully assembled and tested PCB that demonstrates the functionality of the MAX22507E and the MAX22508E full-duplex high-speed RS-485/RS-422 transceiver. The EV kit includes on-board termination for easy point-to-point evaluation. The EV kit is assembled using MAX22507E in a 10-pin TDFN package but also provides equivalent functional evaluation for the MAX22508E, which is offered in an 8-pin SOIC package.
