9.0" Intelligent Display Module with DIABLO16 Graphics Processor
4D Systems' 9.0" intelligent display module is available with resistive touch or capacitive touch
4D Systems' 9.0" resistive touch and capacitive touch intelligent display modules include a bright and sharp 800 x 480 pixel LCD TFT display and are powered by the same powerful and feature-rich DIABLO16 graphics processor as most 4D Systems intelligent display modules.
These modules are 100% compatible with 4D Systems' Workshop4 IDE development software that allows extremely fast time to market with any new application requiring a full-color graphics HMI with touch functionality. 4D Workshop4 IDE provides four different development approaches, depending on the skill level and requirements of the developer, including a full WYSIWYG drag-and-drop type development environment where no coding is required. A customer's development time can be reduced to days or weeks versus traditional design-in of a full-color graphics display.
Any application developed on any of the other display modules from 4D Systems can easily be ported over to these large displays with just a few clicks of the mouse. The 9.0" display modules use the same printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) as the Gen4 series of display modules from 4D Systems. The 9.0" range is set apart from the Gen4 range by a slimmer design using mounting tabs that are integrated directly onto the metal frame of the display module.
Starter kits that include everything needed to begin development are available including bundles with Arduino and Raspberry Pi adapter boards, which allow for an easy and fast hardware interface to both open-source boards.
- Powerful 9.0" intelligent LCD-TFT display module powered by DIABLO16
- 800 x 480 resolution, RGB 65K true to life colors, TFT screen with integrated 4-wire resistive touch panel (DT) or capacitive touch panel (DCT)
- 6 banks of 32750 bytes of Flash memory for user application code and data
- 32 Kb of SRAM purely for the user
- 16 general-purpose I/O pins, which include 4 configurable analog inputs, for user interfacing
- The GPIO is variously configurable for alternative functions such as:
- 3x I2C channels available
- 1x SPI dedicated for SD Card and 3x configurable SPI channels available
- 1x dedicated and 3x configurable TTL serial comm ports available
- Up to 6 GPIO can be used as pin counters
- Up to 6 GPIO for PWM (simple and servo)
- Up to 10 GPIO for pulse output
- Up to 14 GPIO can be configured for quadrature encoder inputs (2 channels)
- 30-pin FPC connection, for all signals, power, communications, GPIO, and programming
- On-board latch type microSD memory card connector for multimedia storage and data logging purposes
- DOS-compatible file access (FAT16 format) as well as low-level access to card memory
- Dedicated PWM audio pin driven by WAV files from microSD card, and for sound generation for an external amplifier
- Display full-color images, animations, icons, and video clips
- Supports all available Windows fonts
- 4.0 V to 5.5 V range operation (single supply)

- (DT): 230.7 mm x 126.4 mm x 7.9 mm (thickness is 4.9 mm LCD + 3.0 mm PCB)
- (DCT): 230.7 mm x 126.4 mm x 8.15 mm (thickness is 5.15 mm LCD + 3.0 mm PCB)
- 4x metal mounting tabs with 4.2 mm holes for mechanical mounting using M4 screws
