Back2School Contest

DigiKey’s Back2School Contest is back (and cool)! Students have a chance to win 1 of 3 great prizes.

1st Place – DigiKey InstaLab, Educational Kit Boards, DigiKey Swag Bag

2nd Place - Educational Kit Boards, DigiKey Swag Bag

3rd Place - DigiKey Swag Bag

To win one of these prizes, all you must do is submit your registration including: First Name, Last Name and School email address. (Yes, your school email must end with .edu)

Ok, I have to admit that I’m extremely jealous that I don’t get a chance to participate in this contest. I was once a college student, (I graduated 2 weeks ago), but I still have my college email; does that not count towards something? I guess since I work for DigiKey that disqualifies me from all the cool contests like this one.

As a student, winning of any of these prizes would’ve been great, but I wish I had the chance to win a DigiKey InstaLab. The InstaLab is a kit that includes over 20 different products from our trusted supplier partners that provides enough gear to transform any dorm room into your own personal maker space. I remember making those long commutes across campus in the scorching Florida sun, only to find that the Engineering Labs were full and I had to wait about 1-2 hours just to get in. If I had that InstaLab, I would’ve worked on most of my projects, studying and experimenting within the comfort of my dorm room. That way I wouldn’t have to deal with those dreadful extreme weather days and I would’ve had time to actually check blogs like “10 Thing to know before starting a BeagleBone Project” before I actually started working with my BeagleBone Black projects. Being a college student on a budget this would’ve saved me so much time and money.

Last year DigiKey’s Back2School Contest had over 750 colleges and universities being represented throughout the U.S. and Canada. Even though they may sound like overwhelming odds, I encourage all students to register to try to win one of these cool prizes and to rep your school while doing so.
