The MCP6V01 Thermocouple Auto-Zeroed Reference Design demonstrates how to measure electromotive force (EMF) voltage at the cold junction of the thermocouple in order to accurately measure temperature at the hot junction. This can be done by using the MCP6V01 auto-zeroed op amp because of its ultra low offset voltage (VOS) and high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR).
The Thermocouple Reference Design demonstrates how to instrument a Thermocouple and accurately sense temperature over the entire Thermocouple measurement range. This solution uses the MCP3421 18-Bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) to measure voltage across the Thermocouple. The ADC has an internal 2.048V reference voltage and a Programmable Gain Amplifier with 1, 2, 4, 8V/V.
The MCP9800 Temperature Data Logger Demo Board 2, once programmed, will log temperature measurements for a predetermined amount of time until the 24LC16B is fully programmed with temperature data (i.e., 2,048 temperature readings).
This circuit uses the ADuCM360/ADuCM361 precision analog microcontroller in an accurate thermocouple temperature monitoring application. The ADuCM360/ADuCM361 integrates dual 24-bit sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), dual programmable current sources, a 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC), and a 1.2 V internal reference, as well as an ARM Cortex-M3 core, 126 kB flash, 8 k…
The MAX30205 evaluation kit (EV kit) provides a convenient way to evaluate the MAX30205 human body temperature sensor.
The MAX31855 evaluation kit (EV kit) provides the hardware and software (GUI) necessary to evaluate the MAX31855 cold-junction compensated thermocouple-to-digital converter. The MAX31855 EV kit comes with a MAX31855KASA+ soldered to the PCB. This is the K-type thermocouple version of the MAX31855.
The LTC®2997 is a high-accuracy analog output temperature sensor. It converts the temperature of an external sensor or its own temperature to an analog voltage output. A built-in algorithm eliminates errors due to series resistance between the LTC2997 and the sensor diode.
Temperature is one of the most widely measured parameters in industrial process control and automation. This reference design provides a complete signal-chain solution that works with any type of RTDs, from PT100 to PT1000. The Novato PT100 2-wire, loop-powered smart temperature transmitter guarantees a low-power, easy-to-use, reliable solution of temperature measurement from -200°C to +850°C wit…
This circuit provides a low cost solution to temperature monitoring because most of the circuit functionality is integrated into the ADuCM360 precision analog microcontroller, including dual 24-bit Σ-Δ ADCs, the ARM Cortex™-M3 processor core, and the PWM/DAC features for controlling the 4 mA-to-20 mA loop for loop voltages up to 28 V.
The RTD Reference Design demonstrates how to implement a Resistive Temperature Detector (RTD) and accurately measure temperature. This solution uses the MCP3551 22-Bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) to measure voltage across the RTD. The ADC and the RTD are referenced using an on-board reference voltage, and the ADC inputs are directly connected to the RTD terminals. This provides a ratio metr…
