Smart Trash Can Project
We would like to share with you our smart trash can project, which is an eco-friendly and practical waste management solution. This project is created using the ESP32 and Arduino platforms and incorporates various features to enhance the waste disposal experience and contribute to a cleaner environment.
Key Features:
1. Light Sensor (LDR): The smart trash can measures the ambient light level using an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) to provide appropriate illumination in the waste disposal area. This ensures users can easily and effectively dispose of their trash, even in low-light conditions.
2. Ultrasonic Sensor (HC-SR04): To monitor the fill level of the trash can, we utilize an ultrasonic sensor. When the trash reaches a certain threshold, users are alerted through the web interface that it's time to empty the bin.
3. Gas Sensor (MQ4): The project includes an MQ4 gas sensor to detect environmental gas levels. This allows us to monitor the gas concentration around the trash can and prevent potential hazardous situations.
4. Servo Motor: A servo motor controls the trash can lid, enabling users to open and close it remotely through the web interface. This eliminates the need to manually operate the lid and provides added convenience.
5. Remote Monitoring: The smart trash can offers remote monitoring capabilities. Through a web page, users can view real-time images of the trash can, check its fill level, gas concentration, and the status of the lid (open or closed).
6. Remote Control: Users can remotely control the trash can's built-in lamp through the web interface. This allows them to illuminate the surrounding area, particularly useful during nighttime or in dimly lit environments.
Web-Based Features:
1. Global Accessibility: The web interface enables users to access the smart trash can's monitoring and control features from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. This means users can manage waste disposal and monitor the trash can's status even when they are far away.
2. Live Monitoring: Users can observe live video feeds and receive real-time updates on the trash can's fill level, gas readings, and lid status via the web interface.
