These two-terminal linear constant-current regulators from onsemi are simple, economical and robust devices designed to provide a cost effective solution for regulating current in LEDs. Based on patent pending self-biased transistor technology, the drivers regulate output current over a wide range of input voltages. They are designed with a negative temperature coefficient to protect LEDs from thermal runaway at extreme voltages and operating temperatures. The devices require no external components and their high anode-cathode voltage rating withstands surges common in automotive, industrial and commercial signage applications. They are lead-free ROHS compliant, use halogen-free molding compound and are qualified to stringent AEC 101 standards.
