This product is unique in that one model covers most common sensors and process signals. The input type/range and output type/range can be easily configured using selector switches and push buttons. No computer or software is required. The highly accurate APD 8000 is ideal for customers who have a variety of input types throughout their processes and want a spare or two available for quick installation, no matter what input or output is required.

Thermocouple, RTD, and thermistor inputs are linearized to temperature, and the output current loop can be wired for either sinking or sourcing applications. The output is isolated and can be field-configured for common DC voltage or DC current types. The full three-way isolation (input, output, and power) makes this module effective for noise reduction, ground loop elimination, and common mode signal rejection. The on-board diagnostics include an LED that provides a visual of the process input and an output test switch, which aid in initial startup, troubleshooting, or both.
