Digi-Key has worked with industry leaders to help drive almost instantaneous ideation and these starters are ideal building blocks to help get your concepts created, drawn and documented in almost no time at all. This reference design is a circuit board that allows the user to practice all the functions of the one cylinder small engine control IC. It consists of a MC33813 one cylinder small engine control IC, a USB to SPI Dongle interface, and power conditioning circuitry. A PC communicates to the EVB through a USB/SPI Dongle (KITUSBSPIDGLEVME) connected to the PC's USB port. The Freescale SPIGen (version 7.0) program provides the user interface to the MC33813 SPI port and allows the user to send commands to the IC and receive status from the IC. All 5V VCC power required by the board is obtained from the MC33813 built-in power regulator. A 12V VBAT supply provides the power to the three internal voltage regulators.
The use of motors to different application is increasing in which majority of the industries are now fully automated using motor control innovation. This design features a typical motor control called H-bridge circuit that enables the motor to have forward and reverse rotation. It can handle transient operation ranging 5V to 40V and able to operate continuously with voltage ranging 8V to 28V. It has two independent monolithic H-Bridge Power ICs in the same package that makes it more compact compared to a typical H-bridge circuit. Each of the H-Bridge MOSFET has 235mΩ maximum RDS(ON) at 150°C and 3.0 abd 5.0V TTL / CMOS logic compatible inputs. It has also overcurrent regulation and output short-circuit protection. The system is energy efficient that it has < 50uA current draw during its sleep mode.
An industrial plant is designed with different control systems in which it varies according to the equipment to be controlled. This design is a general-purpose engine control system, which handles fueled or electrically supplied small engines of industrial plant. It features a 1.0A power relay control, 2.0A relay for fuel pump control, and a lamp driver. The system is also capable of start-up/shut-down control with power sequence logic. It has independent fault protection against surges and possible fluctuations.
The Freescale's MC33883HEGR2 H-bridge gate driver (full-bridge pre-driver) is an integrated circuit that is capable of driving large gate-charge MOSFETs that is generally used in automotive applications. It can support high pulse- width modulation (PWM) frequency with gate driver channels that are controlled by four separate input pins. The device can be optionally configured having two independent high side gate drivers and two low side gate drivers.
An H bridge is an electronic circuit that allows a voltage to be applied across a load, causing it to reverse the polarity of the motor or to brake the motor. The motor comes to a sudden stop when it brakes, as the motor terminals are shorted. This MC34931EK monolithic H-Bridge Power IC is designed to control any low voltage DC servo motors that are essentially within the voltage and current limits. Exceeding the ratings may cause a malfunction or permanent damage to the device.
The excessive heat in an environment or in any system can cause problems or damages to the devices within that system. One way of solving that problem is to use a cooling fan to cool down the system. In this way we can guarantee that all devices will perform within its operating temperature range. However, another problem may appear because later on you will notice that even at lower temperature, the fan will still operate at its full speed and it is a waste of energy. This circuit solves that problem by adjusting automatically the speed of the cooling fan with respect to the system's temperature.
Electric bicycle (eBike) are gaining popularity along with the modernization of our society. eBike upgrades the conventional bicycle into a motorized bicycle without eliminating the ability to be pedalled by the driver. A variety of electric motor can be integrated on the eBike; low powered motor for pedelecs that can assist the driver's pedalling ability and powerful motor for moped-like designs.
The single cylinder engine control are commonly used in consumer machineries in which it uses small scale engines. This project features a complete solution for the electronic control of a small engine. Small engines are defined as a one or two cylinder engine for use in anything from a motorbike to a lawn mower to a generator. While the design was made to address a one-cylinder engine specifically, it is also extremely useful for a two-cylinder engine with little or no modification.
The schematic diagram as shown is a Z-scale train controller driver circuit using Freescale MC33880. The circuit is designed to operate between 5.5V to 24.5V. The typical output voltage clamp is +45V for low side drive and -20V for high side drive. The circuit is designed to drive small coils and hence, there is no need to add protection diodes. It features an internal reverse battery protection on Vpwr. However, it depends upon the designer if he wants to add those for additional protection.
Automotive light control is not as simple as typical light control. It is complicated that requires highly reliable and precise components to control light network. The design is based from the KEA128LEDLIGHTRD board from Freescale. The circuit is still built on Kinetis KEA128 32-bit ARM CORTEX®-MO+ MCU, MC33901 CAN Transceiver and MC33662 LIN Transceiver. The difference of this design is the use of MC10XS3412JHFK as the high side switch in the circuit.
