The STM32Cube ecosystem includes a UI for configuration and initialization code generation, RF testing, a programmer for installing and upgrading protocol stacks, and free Eclipse-based STM32CubeIDE. This Discovery Kit ships with pre-flashed firmware so that users can turn it on and immediately explore its capabilities. First, download the ST BLE sensor app on your mobile device with Bluetooth active. Using the ST link micro USB port, connect the Discovery Kit to your computer and open the STM32 Cube IDE. Login to your myST account, and then click “Start New STM32 Project.” Under the Example Selector tab, use the “board filter” option to select the STM32WB5MM-DK board. In the “Examples List,” select BLE_HeartRate, and click next. Click finish once the example setup is complete. Now click the debug tool, and run the BLE_HeartRate example. The Discovery Kit can now monitor heart-rate from the mobile app, using the BLE connection.
