Audio Spectrum Analyzer

The microcontroller and ANSI C language configure the internal ADC to take samples every conversion time. A 64-point Fast Fourier Transform or FFT is applied in real time representing frequencies from 20Hz to 20kHz with a range of 312.5Hz for each level. The signals displayed in the LCD are average value of contiguous levels that results in 16 levels recognized as bars. This device is widely used in the electronics industry for analyzing audio signals. Looking at the spectrum of a signal they are able to reveal elements of the signal, and the performance of the circuit.

The spectrum analyzers are very useful for analyzing radio frequency and audio signal. It offers different measurement capability to other instruments. This device is commonly observed in stereos and other music players that have an LCD on it to primarily display an accurate power/sound level.
