Vishay offers SPICE models for the PTS AT that incorporate temperature sweep on a continuous range with a statistical analysis allowing for very accurate simulation including sensor tolerances. In order to show functionality of the SPICE models, a simulation on the PTS AT was performed and compared against experimental measurements. Due to the positive temperature coefficient, the voltage of the PTS AT increases with current in a non-linear manner. Figure E shows the voltage vs. current curve for a 1 kΩ PTS AT 1206. The simulation curve is blue and the measurement points are orange. As shown by the graph, there is a 100% fit between the PTS AT RT relationship (Callendar Van Dusen coefficients) and the SPICE simulation traces.
