The example shown on this slide is an MSP430 based water meter solution that can be built today. The circuit is based on the MSP430FW427, the ‘W’ standing for water meter. There is an LC sensor that feeds into the scan I/F along with temperature and pressure inputs that can be fed into the MSP430 ADC. Additionally, there is a CC1101 which is a sub-1 GHz communication module. Also shown in this example is an anti-tampering input.
