The TPD3S014 and TPD3S044 are ESD protection solutions for USB Host interfaces. USB Host interfaces are common in applications like laptops and can be used to power an external peripheral. These devices will provide a current limit switch on the Vbus and ESD protection for the USB D+/D- data signals. The TPD3S014 offers a 0.5 A current limit switch for USB 2.0 and the TPD3S044 offers a 1.5 A current limit switch for USB 3.0 solutions. Also, for USB 3.0 the TPD4E05U06 can be paired with the TPD3S0144 to also protect the super-speed data lines and therefore create a complete USB 3.0 solution.
