Shown here are the differences between the conventional Hoop Frame and the Wide Frame method for Schottky Barrier Diodes using PMDU package. The part number will have an additional M to highlight Wide Frame method. There are no physical differences in part marking, chip size, and passivation. There are also no changes to Electrical Characteristics and Absolute Maximum Ratings, except in Non-Repetitive Forward Current Surge Peak IFSM for 4 parts. In these 4 parts, the rating increased from 30 A to 40 A.
