Product List
The training module will now shift its focus to the System Control Unit (SCU) and Event Router. The Vectored Interrupt Controller (VIC) is not a part of this subsystem but will be covered as well. The SCU manages the port-selection registers and the function of each I/O pin to be configured. Not all peripherals to the device can be used at the same time, so the desired functions are chosen by selecting a function for each I/O pin. The figure shown is a schematic representation of an I/O-pin. For each pin of these ports, one out of four functions can be chosen. The I/O functionality is dependent on the application and can be changed ‘on the fly’ during run-time.
