For applications where there is a wide distance required between two mating boards, Mill-Max spring pin connectors can be mated with our “target” connectors. The target connector will take up some of the distance so the spring pins don’t have to be as long. By minimizing the length of the spring pins, they become less exposed and subject to damage or bending. The target connectors are made from the same precision-machined brass material as the spring pins and plated with 10 micro-inches gold for maximum reliability. They offer a wide .070” or .072” diameter mating surface for each spring pin. Target connectors are available in vertical and right-angle, through-hole and surface mount in both single and dual-row configurations. Solder cup tail designs are also available in single and dual row configurations for hard wiring on the back end of the connection.
