The LT308x family is a next-generation current-reference based LDO family. It has the ability to directly parallel outputs (without an op amp) to spread the heat in surface mount systems. It can also adjust outputs down to 0V. And finally, no heat sinks are required, only ceramic capacitors; tiny externals make for a simple, compact solution.
