LT3045-Slide2

Some of the LT3045’s key features and benefits include: High Power Supply Ripple Rejection of 76dB at 1MHz for noise supply rejection and reduction of output ripple. Low Output Voltage Noise of 0.8µVrms and low Spot Noise of 2nV/√Hz at 10kHz to generate a clean supply for sensitive Radio Frequency applications. A Precision 100µA Current Source Reference which Allows output voltage operation down to 0V; ability to directly parallel IC’s without an op amp; reduces output errors and susceptibility to poor PCB cleaning; and offers excellent accuracy over temperature performance with nearly “0” tempco. High Vout Accuracy of ±1% For precision power supplies. A Single Resistor Programs Output Voltage for Ease of design, the output voltage equals reference current multiplied by resistor value. Outputs may be easily and directly paralleled which offers higher-current capability than a single regulator may provide; plus spreads heat across a PCB and further reduces noise. Wide input voltage range of 1.8V to 20V which offers flexibility, works well in systems where multiple voltage rails are needed and used, allows direct conversion from 12V system rails thereby eliminating an intermediate switching regulator stage thus saving board space and simplifying design. Adjustable output voltage range of 0V to 15V. A wide range of outputs: minimum output voltage can be adjusted down to 0 V with no circuit tricks. Low dropout voltage of 260 mV for reduced power dissipation. Programmable precision current limit which allows the user to set current limit as low as 115% of maximum load, without affecting normal operation load regulation. Reduces upstream power supply output current requirements. Small DFN and MSOP packages provide good amount of current in a small footprint with great thermal performance. The DFN package is pin compatible with the 200mA LT3042.
