Welcome to the Linear Technology LT3045 Low Dropout Regulator product training module. This presentation will review the LT3045 high performance low dropout linear regulator from Linear Technology. The LT3045 features Linear Technology’s low noise architecture featuring 0.8µVrms and high Power Supply Ripple Rejection of 76dB at 1MHz, for powering noise sensitive applications. Designed as a precision current source followed by a high performance rail-to-rail voltage buffer, the LT3045 can be easily paralleled to further reduce noise, increase output current and spread heat on the PCB. The IC additionally features programmable current limit, fast start-up capability and programmable power good. The device is easy to use and incorporates all of the protection features expected in high performance regulators. These are short-circuit protection, safe operating area protection, reverse battery protection, reverse current protection and thermal shutdown with hysteresis all in a compact DFN or MSOP package.
