CY7C65213 Single Chip USB-to-UART Bridge Controller Slide 7

This slide shows how to design a USB-to-UART active cable using the Cypress USB-to-UART RDK or the Reference Design Kit. The designer can begin by purchasing the CYUSBS232 Reference Design Kit from DigiKey or Cypress. They can go to the landing page of the RDK and view the demo on how to use this kit. The drivers and the software required can be downloaded from the same webpage. To create a prototype for the active cable the user can connect the UART interface pins on the RDK to their UART device using the jumpers provided in the kit and connect to the RDK to a PC using a standard USB2 data cable, a standard A-to-Micro-B USB cable. The solution can be customized using the Cypress USB-serial configuration utility, and the user can then validate their solution with a PC application that transmits data from the UART device to the PC.
