Switches used for elevator buttons must be rated for very high cycle life. C&K offers several options of the KSC series tact switch rated to 5 MM cycles. All versions come in a compact 6.2 x 6.2mm footprint, have J-bend or Gullwing terminals for surface mounting to circuit boards, and are sealed to IP67 for harsh environments. The switches have soft actuators with heights ranging from 4.3mm to 5.2mm. For applications requiring a thru-hole solution, the KSA series comes in a 7.4 x 7.4mm package, is sealed to IP60, and is rated for at least 1MM cycles.
