The construction of the FW Series is based on a ceramic core with the resistor element wire wound around this core. The annealed copper lead wire is welded at the end cap joint. An insulated coating covers the device and helps protect the element within. The color code is an epoxy resin on the coating located at the end cap of the resistor to indicate its value.
