In summary, Bourns® FW Series Fusible Wirewound Power Resistors are designed to fuse open under abnormal conditions such as sudden surges in voltage or circuit malfunctions. The FW series fusible wirewound power resistors will fuse upon application of 120 or 240 VAC. The axial leaded resistors feature 5% tolerance, 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7 W rating and has a resistance range of 4.7 ohms to 100 ohms. Models with resistances between 4.7 ohms and 47 ohms are UL listed. This family of fusible wirewound resistors complements the other circuit conditioning components that Bourns offers, such as power inductors, rectifier diodes and Zener diodes.
