This product overview shows all AVR XMEGA devices. All are built using the same base feature and peripheral set in order to have a 100% compatible product family. The main differences are the Flash program memory size, pin count and the number of peripherals integrated. The Flash memory ranges from 16 KB to 384 KB, with the number of pins ranging from 44 to 100. For further selection granularity, two main families are offered. XMEGA A has the highest system performance with the most functions integrated, compared to the XMEGA D with a reduced feature set and less functions at a lower cost. Within each family, the sub-families are split on pin count. XMEGA A4 is a 44-pin family, XMEGA is a 64-pin family and so on.
