The ATA6286-EK3 kit is meant for evaluation purposes. In addition to the previously shown active tag, it comprises an LF trigger board and a UHF receiver board. Both boards can be connected to each other to enable, for example, the demonstration and investigation of the anti-collision procedure. They can also be operated individually in stand-alone mode, of course. The image to the left shows the LF trigger board that can drive up to three LF transmit antennas. This is useful in case more than one station has to be powered, or if the tag orientation is unknown and the application requires LF trigger signals in different directions. The image on the right shows the UHF receiver board with an antenna connected. If required, the antenna can also be replaced by trace on the PCB. The PCB in the middle shows the active tag (LF reception and UHF transmission). All Microchip RFID devices and support kits are available from DigiKey to ensure fast design-in and short time to market.
