Microchip is fully aware that developers and engineers require ready-to-use tools, not only for evaluating the technology but also for developing the final product. To this end, Microchip provides a full set of RFID support tools and kits. The primary kit, the ATA2270-EK1, is a complete self-contained tool to begin using RFID systems, even for users who are short on RFID experience. It includes an LCD and control buttons to enable interaction with the RFID system. The kit can be used both in stand-alone mode and as PC-GUI-based system, supporting the Microchip IDICs e5530, T5551, ATA5567 (T5557), ATA5570, ATA5577, ATA5575 and ATA5558. The included source code, RFID tags and reference designs allow the evaluation of a complete system-level design and enable the user to quickly start prototyping by using the building blocks provided in this kit. This kit is supported by all standard AVR development tools.
