This design aims to control the relay switches through the microcontroller unit (MCU). Basically, the host controller serves as a graphical user interface. It will send a set of commands to the MCU. The MCU will process the commands, then it will send a signal on its output pins to the relay switches. The output voltage of the MCU that is 5V triggers the relay switches. The use of solid-state relay switches ensures stability of the output voltage as compared to the mechanical relays.
The use of TE Connectivity's AMPLIVAR splice in the coil termination of the transformer of the power supply stage and in the output termination of the MCU to the relay switches provides a superior electrical connection that is free of many contaminants such as stripper residue and solder flux. Thus, provides a more stable output voltage. This new product offers many advantages from financial impacts such as labor reduction, productivity increase, and material savings to product improvements that come with higher quality and energy efficient termination.
Control systems are not only limited to switching, it can also be used in avionics/aviation, embedded systems, land vehicles, medical applications, process industry, robotics and mechatronics.
